Patient Referrals
- Unless specifically required by their insurance, referrals aren’t needed. We encourage patients to schedule their own appointment via our website. You may also fax referral and records to (843) 388-5548 or securely email them to Office@CharlestonThyroid.com. If needed, download & print our referral sheet.
- Please send patient demographics, insurance, office notes, thyroid labs, relevant radiology reports, imaging results, pathology, and operative reports.
- We accept almost all major commercial insurances, however we do not take Medicaid or Medicare.
- Our current wait time for new patients is approximately 2-3 months. For patients that need to get in sooner (thyroid cancer, pregnancy, or uncontrolled Grave’s disease), have your office call us directly.
- We are a thyroid-specific medical practice and do not accept referrals for other medical or endocrinology problems.
